    ELECTRICAL QUESTION

I have a Torchmate 3 system with a Thermal Dynamics Cutmaster A120 hooked to it. The current building that I'm in has 3 phase power. I'm looking at another building that only has single phase 220 (he runs "convertors" on his 3 phase equipment). I remember reading that a phase convertor shouldn't be used with a plasma cutter, does anybody have any thoughts on this.

    Thanks in advance

    Don't move

    Pat,

Your plasma system is designed around true 3 phase power. Phase convertors and plasma don't work well together.

    Good luck,

    Tom

Actually a Thermal Dynamics A120 is a Single OR Three phase system, depending on how you wire it. There should be no problems taking your system to 208-220v single phase from 208-460v three phase.
