    Any Optimum MH-28 conversions?

Has anyone done a conversion on the optimum mh-28 bench mill?

I have one and am looking to do a conversion.

The mh28 looks almost identical to the G0704. As such, the general conversion scheme should be the same. The specs I found indicate that it is a tad bigger than the G0704 so you will have to adjust dimensions a bit, but stepper sizes and such should work fine.

That's a bf30, much bigger than a g0704. A few conversions have been done on them.

It looks much like the Weiss 30LV.

I did a CNC kit for two of them. There was a casting change on the Y mount and the Y nut mounting. I stopped making the kits besause PM quit importing them.

    The kit looks like this.

I just had a look at the optimum catalogue and the MH-28 is no longer listed. They are still for sale in Australia however.... It is smaller than the BF30.
