    Is this the quality?

pic Saw this pic on the net of a CNC routered cavity that was cut to hold the instrument. I put in a red line to show where the cut seems to be a series of obvious straight lines rather than a continuous arc. I realize it doesn't really matter for this application, but.... on some applications I might not want that. Is this typical of what a CNC cut looks like? I'm still in the data gathering stage. Don't have a machine yet.

There are various degrees of accuracy to specify when doing cnc toolpaths. A coarse specification, with arcs broken into line segments (instead of arcs) will look like that. But a cnc can do very smooth cuts, it all depends on the quality of the data that you program into it.
First you get good, then you get fast. Then grouchiness sets in.

(Note: The opinions expressed in this post are my own and are not necessarily those of CNCzone and its management)
