We have a large older Komo router with 4 main heads, attached to the 4 mains are 8 auxiliary routers. We are looking for a faster way of matching tools from 1 router to the next due to we run multiple parts at 1 time. Currently we place the tools in the 4 routers on the right end of the machine. Lower those units down 1 at a time to touch off the part they will be machining. Then tighten the tool in the corresponding router on the left end by touching the left part. This is very time consuming. Is there an adjustable gauge that could be used to match tools up at the machine? Or does anyone have another idea as to how to match tools up w/out touching off the parts? The 4 mains are BT-30’s so we can set the tools up off line.
