Are there plans to do it? I know people have done it, but I'm not interested in designing my own conversion.
Also, who carries them? HF, Grizzly, Jet, and...
Thanks.

My advice is worth less then you paid for it.
i will have a kit available at the end of march or beginning of april. its being designed to use nema 23 stepper motors, so a xylotex or hobby cnc kit will be perfect to drive it.
One person that I found sells a kit but I haven't seen any plans available.
They are also sold by Enco, Wholesale Tool, Acro, etc., etc. Almost any major tool importer carries them. Some of them are asking about $2000.
i haven't found anyone who carries plans, or cnc kits for the 9x20 lathes.
I don't particularly like some of the design choices in this conversion but it is evidently available. It seems a little pricey at about $600 including ball screws.

Would you be willing to draw up a set of plans?

wow, if $600 seems pricey then theres almost no reason to build a good kit. i was planning on pricing my kit around $1000. although after seeing this thread, maybe its just worth selling the plans.
