CNC Router Parts PRO4824 vs 8020 Build

After spending $1200+ buying SBR Rails, ball screws, 8020 components, alum Z axis and countless hours in research on this forum; I've decided to order a CNC Router Parts Pro 4824. At this point in my life, I just don't have the time or patients for a drawn out trail & error build.

I elected to go the 4824 route because of the extra rigidity and future expansion to 4848 or larger. Initially I plan on using a PC 3.25 HP router I have new in box.
If I can sell the components I've purchased at a decent price, I will buy a spindle/VFD package.

Now the wait for everything to arrive & start assembly!

    Ditto.. 100%..
Although, I didn't get $1200 in before I backed off the "scratch build" idea, probably close though, I bought a good pile of crap Thankfully, I was able to use most of the steel I bought to weld up a heavy table/base for the machine. The other parts I bought (Z-Ballscrew and Blocks, Z-Profile Rails & Trucks, 4x 5ft SBR Rails & Blocks) are packaged nicely and stuffed in my attic, most importantly, they are out of my sight..

My Pro4824 is built, and I'm chugging along with the tuning and using. For me the build was pretty easy and quick(maybe a week not counting the base build), the learning to use it is proving to be much more difficult.

I'm guessing most of my components will end up in storage also. If I can't sell them maybe they will be a future project!

I have 30+ years experience in using AutoCAD and other similar software. Hopefully that will translate into a shorter learning curve.
