    Question Tool Path Creation

Sorry it has been a little while too long since I have done something this simple.:withstupi

I am just cutting slots on a big sheet with a radius on the bottom corners. Every time I try to generate a tool path to "Finish" the walls the tool path cuts through the material. I know there has to be a better way of doing this.

Here is a picture of what I mean. Any help is greatly appreciated!

Under Cut Control tab, make sure Use Check Surfaces is checked and then pick all surfaces to avoid that it tried cutting through.

    Thanks, pgorsky

I keep forgetting that Surfcam handles Surfaces not solids (which SUCKS)!

    Smile Wrong Cut

First try to extend the surfaces from the ends of the part to eliminate the rounding of the corners on the part. I have the same problem in Mastercam when I use the Parallel Surface tool path. I end up using the Flowline tool path and go into the gap settings, and at the bottom of the pop up screen it has a place to tell the software how much to go past the actual surface for lead in and lead out. I am sure surfcam has that same feature somewhere. Hope this helps

    Why

Why are you trying to surface it?

I would use a bull nose with the correct radius
