I'm brand new to CNC and I have just bought a CNC router for my school woodwork room. I have imported it from China and it's an XJ6090 from XYZ-Tech http://www.xyz-tech.com/listcp.asp?b...l=16&proid=111. Ok, I know you will say "you get what you paid for" but budgets in schools are limited and a Roland MDX or similar was completely out of the question. So, it was this or nothing, really. I'm sure it will be great for our purposes, but I am finding out (as I suspected) that the after sales backup leaves a lot to be desired. So my question is, is there anyone out there in Melbourne operating a similar CNC router, probably with Mach 3 software that I come and have a look at? I live in North East Melbourne but I would be prepared to travel to get a first hand look at the setup. I'm getting impatient, I want my students to get the benefit of CNC for their woodwork projects.
