My mill came with this older DRO. I'm looking for any information on it, such as how to use its features: Function, Hole Calc, Tool Offset, Calibrate.

Mostly I want to calibrate the Y-axis.

Well, I found on the Internet Archives Wayback machine on the CNC Masters website, the Escala II and Escala Plus DROs:

2004 was not that long ago, I'm surprised that it has been so hard to find info on these readouts...just a few posting on Yahoo groups and a couple other forums with brief mention and a quick turn to other DROs...

I wrote CNC Masters and they sent back the cal instructions and feature list on the DRO. I'm really happy with those guys for getting back to me and so quickly, and especially since this product has been out of production for so long...

I was able to re-cal the Y-axis using a dial caliper clamped to the table and found repeatable results of less than +/- 0.002 over a 6-inch range.
