G'morning all,
I have 100mm x 40mm x 6mm aluminum heatsinks, the fins are 5mm and open. What I would like to do is enclose the heatsinks i.e. attach the open end (fins) to an aluminum plate.
My thought is to take a piece of adhesive film, cut out the area of the 100mm x 40mm heatsink and attach it to a piece of aluminum and then, with the aid of a squeegee (sharp edge plastic) press/pull a bonding adhesive down the cutout, this will leave an adhesive layer the thickness/thinness of the film on the piece of aluminum (I used to do a little screen printing)
But, I am open to other suggestions and also, if you agree that this is a possible method a suggestion on the make of the bonding agent.
Thanks n have a g'day
