    Some construction details

Here is the CAD drawing. Compulsory before starting a build

The Y axis on the drill press.

The cross dowell technique was use to join pieces. To increase the stifness double layer of 18mm MDF was joined together.

The gantry plates are drill together to keep consistent simetry.

    Nice

Very nice build. I'd recommend adding some wood perpendicular to the current Y axis supports.

Hi, nice looking machine. What are the screws/bolts you've used to join the wood?

What a cheap and nasty router spindle.........I have the same one, 430 hours on it so far and still going strong! I'm looking forward to it breaking so I can fit the new 1340 watt one I bought a month or so back.

Hopefully it will be a fast machine....Red is the fastest colour after all
