    Stepper motors playing music!

    Take a look at this video:

    I wounder if you feed a audio signal through a transiston and in to the step input on the drive if it will sound like that?

    LOL! That's hilarious.

    Reminds me of the Altair's first musical appearance. A program was written to work the processor and the resulting RF was picked up by an AM radio.sitting beside it.

    I'm sure that would work fine. You would need to use a diode or prossecor to chop it in half creating a pulse that could feed the stepper driver.

    It would be kinda cool to cut the pattern of a sound into something

    I'm sure it was one of the American/European companies that started it, but the Chinese have gone crazy with playing music through motors for hobby radio control. My airplane now plays Jingle Bells when you plug in the battery. There are 16 choices of songs on a brushless controller that costs less than $20. Once you bump the throttle, it stops playing, but I think my favorite tune is "none."
