    pcnc 4th axis set up

    Hello

I have been working with a pcnc 1100 for about a month now and i am trying to find some info on-line about sprut cam 4th axis set up.

i am wondering , how to tell srut cam how to mount my part

and how to zero my part in the machine so i can pocket opposite sides

i basically have a brick with a v cut in the bottom anf 2 pockets drilled in from the top to match the angle of the v on the bottom , if that makes sense

    thanks

    brick with V

    Hi,

Just a question. Why use the fourth axis? If the shape is as you describe I picture a setup where you establish a stop in a vise, mill in one vee, turn the part over, relocate at the stop and mill in the other two vee's.
