    Question Rotary Engraving Silver tool???

    Hi

    I have tried to engrave silver with these tools, 0.2mm (http://www.cnc-step.de/Stichel_Stich..._CNC_Frase.jpg). According to the seller it is Carbide. But when I engrave it looks more like the silver is plowed aside instead of removed from the V shape. The speed was around 4mm/s and the depth was about 0.3mm.

    Have anyone successfully rotary engraved silver? What tool and feed did you use?

    Hi AWI,
    I use that kind of tools, it is engraving bits. Important is the spindle speed. I use 60.000 RPM.
