Post noob needs some help here!

I am inexperienced in these subjects of the Stepper Motors and CNC.
Some questions about the Stepper Motors and IC's that I have.

Which the electric tension for the correct functioning?
Which the torque that they possess?
Which the appropriate dimensions for a table XYZ+A that it uses my stepper motors.(I intend to use for aluminum, mdf, plexiglass, nylon and foam).

It's available for free or for few € some decent and efficient electronic circuit to control 4 axis bipolar stepper motor where if can use some of my IC's? with microstepping?

What to make to also have the manual control and in the PC?
If the circuit will not have microstep the PC can generates it?
    What I have:
    Stepper Motors
    Unipolar
    VEXTA Oriental MOTOR
    PH264-01-C27 (4V 1.1A/Phase 1.8Deg/Step) 6 wires

    Bipolar
    ASTROSYN STEPPER MINEBEA
Type 23LM-C355-36 double axis (i don't know specifications) 4 wires
    Type 23LM-C355-15 (2.5A/Phase 1.8Deg/Step) 4 wires
    Type 23LM-C058-05H (1.4A/Phase 1.8Deg/Step) 4 wires
    Type 24BB-H139-01(i don't know specifications) 4 wires

    IC's.
    8x L298N, 8x L293D, 2x L6219 e 2x L6506D

    and

    enormous force of will
    PS:
I never used PIC nor programmed none, nor have ways to program them.

    Please heeeeeeeeeeelp meeeeeeeeee.
    Thank's,
    Coelho

A small machine. I have some similar ones that I played with on a 8" x 10" machine. They were adaquate. Ran them with my a3977 boards.
Phil, Still too many interests, too many projects, and not enough time!!!!!!!!

    8" x 10" < A4 paper size

    It's possible to use with A4 size (210mm x 297mm = 8.26" x 11.69") util working area?

If Yes.....well, that's ok for beginning.

Phil your a3977 boards have microstep resolution 1/10? I have intention to use everything in millimeters and I read somewhere that this microstep is important when millimeters are used.

    and...sorry my bad english.

    Thank's,
