I am not sure about the model you have, but in the past I have used Vexta AC steppers, This usually refers to when they are run on 110vac as synchronous motors which gives a high precision low speed rotation (72 & 36 rpm) as they are exactly synched to the incoming supply frequency.
By construction they are usually identical to 2ph 1.8deg steppers, I have not tried them with a conventional stepper driver, but I would imagine the top rpm may be restrictive. Others here may have tried.
