    Head/Table Alignment

Well not sure what happened but went to face some blocks and it seems that the head is not aligned with the table. As when I face the blocks it is leaving steps, tried everything I can think of. So anyone know how to align the head on a Haas or what it costs to have a tech to come in and do it. It seems to only be off by.003".

    Any help would be great.

Have you verified the machine is level? Make sure the weight is evenly distributed on all the pads. You need to verify the machines entire table is level at all extents of X and Y axis tavel. The haas tech that came to set up the machine when purchased only had a starret #98 level, I prefer to use a block type level with .0005" per foot accuracy.
Did the machine recently crash? The spindle alignment procedure can only be performed after the machine is properly leveled. Let me know what you find when checking level.
