    Servo drive

I would like to build my own servo drive that uses step and direction as the control signal. I would like to use a H bridge design. I would like to use mosfets. I will need this drive to control servo motors at around 6-10 amps. I would like to know more about using feedback. I can send it back to the pc or the the drive. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions. Thank you for your help and hope to hear your ideas.

    Building Servo Drive?

Why would you even consider building a servo drive when you can buy one with 20 Amp capability and step and direction inputs for less money than you can purchase the individual components?

Sounds like re-inventing the wheel for the twentieth time.

Check out the Gecko 320 and 340 units at www.geckodrive.com

Sometimes the impulse behind the DIY approach is not to save money...It is the experience. Either the learning, or the good feeling when you say: I did it!!.
