Hello all,
I'm new here and new to Mazaks. I inhereted a Mazak SQT-18MSY turning center that lost the mazatrol parameters apparently and need a little help on the programming end for the live tooling at the turret. I've made a program in EIA format & had no problem on the standard turning side, but when i call up a shell mill on the turret to do a simple one line cut in the Z axis, it wont feed.
If I program it as a rapid it runs , if i change it to G1 it stalls out.
Am i missing something like locking up the chuck, or is it a diff G code when in the milling mode? Maybe I'm missing something at a work offset?
