    Manuel Milling Machine to cnc

    Hi.

Can i buy a kit, so my manuel milling machine could be controlled by a computer..

I think ill need some servos and a controller of a kind, an of course some software to run it...

It is an old heavy milling machine.

Could i buy a complete kit or something, and how much will it cost??

At least on this side of the pond, you're way better off finding an old CNC mill with a dead or obsolete control. I paid $350 for a bridgeport knee mill clone (Excello) with a dead Fanuc. I just passed on a Tree mill with a Dynapath control and tooling for $1000. Old bridgeport CNCs are also easy to find, if you are patient.

There's some expensive parts to purchase to refit a manual machine. Three ball screws, three steppers or servos, and half dozen limit switches. plus you'll have to fabricate mountings for all this. That's just to get to where you are with an old CNC machine.
