    Full time CNC Educator.

Do any of you out there in CNC land know a full time, totally self employed CNC trainer?
I have been totally self employed teaching all parts of Fanuc CNC lathe and mill programming and use for the last many, many years.
I can not believe that I am the only person anywhere in this big CNC world doing it, there are many, many teaching but they are all working for someone.
I have taught thousands of shops all over the US and Canada, I love my job, I love to help shop people to be as efficient as possible.
Please give me a name if you can. Examples of my skills are on doccnc.com

    Re: Full time CNC Educator.

Greetings; I have a question not pertaining to programming. But if you have been around Fanuc for awhile, maybe you would be so kind to point me in the right direction.
I bought a 1982 Traub screw machine with Fanuc #5 black cap servo motors. 108 volts DC. & General Numeric GN3 control panel. I did not get any other electronics. I will re fit to more modern equipment. But still want to know which Fanuc VCU's would have been used with these servo's.
I have searched the web far and wide with ZERO results.
Even a tid bit of info would be greatly appreciated.
    Thank you, Brad

Brad: When I trained the Fanuc classes in Chicago, I had a lot to do with the Fanuc service guys.
Even back then, the 5 series was old, I trained shops with the 5T , but I never got involved in fixing or service.
Here is what I would do:
Call Fanuc, have all your serial numbers ready and ask for advice.
Any programming questions on old and new controls, I can help with, but nusually not on service questions.
