Very light and strong. The customer service is also the best I've ever experienced.
Proud owner of a Series II Bridgeport.
Does anyone have any experience finding it as scrap? If so, what places of business should we start digging through trash bins

digging through trash bins is not gonna get you good material...I have had some luck buying pieces that aerospace companies cut off of larger sheets I have ended up with some big useful pieces.
BTW do you really need 3/16? thats really thick
any aerospace companies in particular? In san diego maybe?

Can Carbon Fiber be cut with carbide end mills without any coolant?
80$ For 12X12" .100 thick.
It can be cut without coolant, it's like cutting fiberglass.

It is easier to mold carbon fiber, It is painstreak to cut. It will wear out your endmill superfast. You you cut about 5 chassis out of a highspeed steel endmill , it is gone completelyh dull.. If you cut with carbide endmill, i have done about 8 chassis and then had a really dull endmill. It os a lot easier to cnc you r mold and then lay the fiber and apoxy it!!!
PLease dont be a victim and go throuh endless amounts of endmills only to find carbon fiber is extremely abrasive.
