I want to make a v raise die with a 85 degree form in, who's got the best suggestion on how to cut this on my vertical bridgeport mill. (8" long 1 1/4 wide 5/8" deep approx)

Mount your part vertically. Use a form cutter for the shape you need. Form cutter (or holder) needs to be long enough so it is away from the spindle. The seperation between the 'V's is controlled by your vertical. The longer your cutter will be from the end of the spindle the more chatter you will see in your cut. You can also try a flycutter ground to the right form but may be harder to set up.
This is all based upon if I understand what you are asking.
