CNC4PC C6 spindle control card and EMC

Has anyone here succcessfully configured EMC to run the CNC4PC C6 Spindle control card? I seem to be partially there but I cannot figure out how to configure HAL to output my signal at 25kHz.

    Cheers,

    Dan

I tried and burned out my speed controller when I ignored the bit about the ISOLATED power supply... I'll be watching this thread before my next attempt.

    Dan,

Here is a file that has helped others: http://cnc4pc.com/Files/EMC2.txt.

    Thanks,

Well, I got mine working today! The newest version of EMC has a StepConfig page for setting it up. Now, if only i could get that spindle index pulse working...

This time, my attempt was on a Sherline lathe, with Geckos and a real breakout board, not on my xylotex-driven mill.

    Well, I was able to tune the system to within 10rpm of commanded speed, anywhere in my spindle's range...which brings up another question;

Is it possible to set up EMC to command/wait for a belt speed change by the operator, and to use a second set of PWM settings for the lower RPM range? I wouldn't want it to do this during Constant-Surface-Speed operations that took it into the lower speeds in high range, but for turning operations in the lower third of the speed range (0-1000) it would be nice to have it suggest low range.

I sure wish I could get EMC to see my spindle index pulse... it might make this easier.

i imagine you could just program in a tool change in the g code. then it would stop, wait for you to change the belt and tell it to go again. if you had the spindle speed set right in the following section of code, everything should work ok.

Yeah, I could just stick an M0 in there, but the second PWM table is what I was really after.

Im trying to make my C6 card work with EMC2 also.
I cant get it to work.
Tried to use the info in http://cnc4pc.com/Files/EMC2.txt but EMC2 does not understand this line: setp scale.0.in 0.
    what am i doing wrong?
could anyone post their configuration file? would be very helpful, i imagine.

do you have a line in your HAL file that loads the scale component?
looks like loadrt scale count=1 (or 2 or 3 etc)
    What did the error say?
