    bearing mounts - ballscrew

Has anyone here rebuilt the bearing mounts for the ballscrews (push out old bearing, push in new)?
Other than the thrust bearings for the X axis you have to buy the entire mount at close to $500 a pop (X axis) and I don't see why you can't just replace the bearings. I'd like to replace the bearings in all the axis but I'm worried about accuracy problems. Anyone with any experience?
    Thanx.

I just posted in another thread that I just did this, $52 a bearing out of McMaster Carr, one pair per axis, really not that difficult at all, though I'm sure the X and Y are a bigger pain in the ass to get to.
