ANYTHING is possible... the hard part is calculating the actual contact point at the angle to the major axis lines.
You can use the G31 skip function to detect probe activation (Renishaw probe I assume?) but then you need to take into account the shape of the probe and offset for the ball diameter etc...
If you are only after a "Roughy" position, it should not be too hard, depends on how many free areas on the nearby walls you have left to bang your head in frustration on
We have written a few different types of "non-std" probing routines over the years and I can assure you, if there is an Okuma routine that you can use... use it!
