    Couple mach 3 questions

When loading a G code it seems to stall out while its loading it. When I try to load it again it works fine.

Is this a sign of mach 3 didn't load correctly?? And yes I restarted the computer immediately after loading mach 3.

Second thing is: When I start up my machine I have a E-stop triggered warning even if the e stop is released.

Here's how I start it up.

Start up mach 3 once running, Turn on the main power to my electrical cabinet (this powers up my power supply and G540) Then I release the e-stop button and reset the button in mach 3.

After that I get the e stop triggered again. If I look at my diagnostics page the only input mach 3 is seeing is my E-stop. Now if I go to ports and pins and flip the active low switch it will work for say 30 seconds and then work opposite of what I want so I toggle the active low setting again and everything starts working as normal.

So is this just the charge pump warming up to say? Is there a debounce level for that? Is it normal?

Are you saying it doesn't finish loading the code? Or it just takes a while?

No error messages it just says its loading. Sometimes it will load the g code in the box other times it won't. it usually stops on the first or second blue bar.

I have had that for very large gcode files, coming over the wireless network. It seems to freeze, then after I rerun M3 it loads fine.

You should only load files from a local hard drive. Using a USB stick or network can lead to trouble.
You can transfer them any way you want, but you should always copy them to the hard drive and run them from there.

Oh good call that could be it. I was loading from a usb drive.

Any ideas on the charge pump?

Loaded them on the desk top and same thing. See image below.

Also figured out that the E stop only triggers when I jog the X and A(slave) axis If I jog the Y or Z axis it jogs fine???

In General Config, try checking "Disable M codes while loading" and see if it helps.

And while you're in there, try setting the Debounce to 5000 or so. Sounds like you have noise.

Gerry, I see the logic of what you are saying, but why is this? Surely Mach3 will not try to load chunks of code as it needs it ... or am I wrong?
Now I load to a local directory over the WiFi, but mostly because M3 keeps the file open after loading (even small files) and so regenerating the gcode on the design machine is impossible unless you remember to close the file from M3 first. Oops, another walk back to the garage. Seems odd.

I don't really know why, and a lot of people will tell you that it doesn't matter, but the reality is that it does matter in some cases.
