Can you control axis through macro?

I'm designing a 3 axis mill and want to use a 4th axis for a tool changer, does anyone know if this software will allow you to program a 4th axis through macros (like a fanuc pmc controlled axis)?
Also does anyone have any sugestions for a I/O card to use, I'm looking at using a hobbycnc stepper controller for the motors?

You should be able to do what you want. Download the demo and play around with it. It's fully functional.

It might be simpler to use of these, as they can do all PLC function and then some:
