V2XT - RUNNING A PROGRAM WITH THE SPINDLE OFF

    Hi guys.

I have a V2XT and I'm tring to run a program without enableing the spindle.
So basically I want all 3 axis to move with out the spindle on.
    Any suggestions?

    Thanks

    Derrick

The only way to do this is to fool the control.
On the spindle contactors there are "piggy back" contacts. These tell the control that in theory the contactor is pulled in and thus the spindle is running.
Maybe if you jump this out (make a connection) the control will run through the program. check wiring diagram for wire numbers.
2nd alternative: pull it into neutral.
3rd option, in the RUN screen you can say no Z and max feed. May fault in a G2 or G3 as it whips the table.
    Option 4: use preview.

There may also be an M code for running feeds without the spindle; M66 for example, check your listing.

With my DX-32, I found that M19 or M12 counts as 'Spindle On' and will allow it to feed with out the spindle actually turning.
