    Gettys 360 amp questions

    I have a H.E.S. U100 NC lathe, I want to retrofit with EMC2.
The control is a GE 5 series which works fine but is far from user friendly.
It uses two Gettys 360 three phase half wave controllers and Gettys motors, the motors look the same as those on a 5T.
My question is regarding the control connections to the top card of the amp, so far I have + and - ref which I assume is the command signal, and the Tach
    The other connections are
    S com
    P com
    Reset
Can anyone tell me what these signals do in the 5 series control and how I would use them with a PC retrofit control.
    I would appreciate any advice
    Thanks

Sure their not full wave controllers? Early Fanuc motors were Gettys knock offs or were Gettys.
At a guess, I would think maybe the S com is signal common and P common is power common?
The ±10 would be the command signal.
You may have to do a bit of reverse engineering, it helps if the system is still working, also helps if you have the prints.

    Thanks for the reply Al.
No, I'm not sure that they are not full wave as I don't know the difference, I'm just reading off the amp cover.
I have no documentation for the lathe or the control, so I'm feeling my way in the dark.

    N360 Driver hookup

    Dave,

I have a working Tree mill with the N360 drivers. If you still need info on driving them I figure it out for you.
