One of our Fadal's failed to come on-line this morning, showing "Auto test" on the screen. The computer has power and seems to start up, though the machine-panel interface (controller) doesn't change from "Auto test".
Some have commented the controller boards can be removed and re-seated, but before I go that route, I'd like to know if anyone has successfully resolved an error like this.
Thanks!
Additional notes:
The PC powers on.
Disconnecting the computers' VGA cable and directly connecting to an external monitor remains blank even after resetting the computer; Unsure if this is correct, but I would expect it to act as a standard PC.
Switching from CNC to PC has no effect.
Disconnecting the control-board VGA Output leading to the CRT does not change the display, which indicates the "Auto test" signal is coming from the machine control and not from the computer.
Pressing the controller CPU reset has no effect (oppose to the other identical machines, where the display resets...)
