    Smile the Motion group Controller

    Is any one using Mach 2/3 on the Digital cnc controller by the Motion group?

    The only reference on their site to MACH is the opening Marketing page. No other place that I saw on the site would indicate in any way that any of their controllers work with standard step and dir from a parallel port. It would appear they do everything with serial (RS232) and they talk about "muxing" the signals to the right motors. They do offer a DOS based control program and a Development kit if you feel like writing you own controller......

    Also noticed that there was no pricing or CNC specific application information. It looks more like an industrial positioning system rather than a usable high speed multiaxis CNC system.
