    good lathe books

Hi, you all. I am looking for some book titles that might be currently available that you consider good instructional books for the begining lathe and mill operator. Some twenty years ago I took several machining classes and have wanted to get back to it ever since. I've been an avid woodworker for over thirty years so, I do have shop skills. I am thinking of purchasing a Microlux 7X14 lathe soon and want to do some reading beforehand so I can get to it ASAP. Thanks for any suggestions.

I just bought a new lathe myself. A good instructional book would be helpful for me too.

    Thanks!

    some book titles

    Hello again,
I've compiled a short list of titles that sound intriguing - after reading Powell's synopsis of them - from a rather large collection from Powell's Books (Portland,OR) Machine Shop section at the following site: http://www.powells.com/subsection/MetalMachineShop.html
Anybody, please let me know if you are familiar with a title and what you think of it. Some of them are not cheap so, don't want to invest if they are not worth the money. Thanks.
    The titles are:
The Model Engineer's Lather Manual by E.T. Westbury (NOTE: misspelling of lathe is theirs but you might want to use it if you are wanting to call up the title at Powell's)
Model Engineering A Guide to Model Workshop Practice
    by Henry Greenly
    Lathe Operations by J Barritt
Milling Operations in the Lathe by Tubal Cain
Vertical Milling in the Home Workshop by Arnold Throp
Gears & Gear Cutting by Ivan Law
