Exclamation Controllers from big name companies (compumotors)

    Hi

I have info but no prices on controllers for stepper and servos from
compumotors. I will take a guess and say these products must be
expensive. I`m wondering if anyone knows about these controllers.
ie. Price and implementation into a 3 axis cnc wood router.
I`m just starting to do research so any info is greatly appreciated.

    Best Wishes, Barry

A while ago Compumotor (Parker) took over Acroloop of Minnesota and they have commisioned Axiom controls to write CNC software (MotionMax) for the Acroloop PC based controllers, I have used Acroloop products and DOS software for some years and like their product, I have however only downloaded the trial version of Motionmax to try and it shows great promise, however they do not have a lathe version as yet. These sytems are not cheap, but you get very extensive features that you normally see on top end CNC systems, one of the features I like about the Acroloop card is the onboard 24vdc i/o PLC for machine functions etc . I have used the Acrocut DOS s/w for flame/plasma/router tables.
Also with the Acroloop you can use anyones servo's amps etc.
