    rs232 on AB 8200 control

    Hi, Trying to upload and download programs on a B&S CNC screw machine equipped with an Allen Bradley 8200 control.

    Can load program from pc to control, but don't know the command to enter to go from control to pc.

    Anyone know how?

    Do you happen to know how to wire up a laptop to the RS232 port on a Toyoda MOD# GPNJ5A32x10 grinder? S# RC3294 MFG# TG2405-1 please?
    It has a toyopuc PC-1 system.

    Try CT,CY

    Did you try CT,CY,filename ] (transmit) after setting the output to RS232 port A with PD,232,A]?

    If this works and you want to set things back to the parallel in/out use PD,9] (parallel C,D)

    If you need to change baud rate try PD,232,5] for a baud rate of 4800.
    Baud rates: 0=110, 1=300, 2=600, 3=1200, 4=2400, 5=4800,
    6=9600
