Question Looking for a software recommendation that is compatible with Mach 3

I'm currently setting up an Omni CNC running servo motors using Mach 3. I am a competent user of Adobe illustrator, so I can create closed vector files and output them as DXF. I'd like to know what is the best software to create G Code on, that is compatible with Mach 3. It need only be simple software for generating the G Code, as all design work would be handled in Illustrator. Cheep is good, but reliable software that is compatible with Mach 3 is important, so I'm happy to pay for the right product. Any advise would be appreciated.

That depends on exactly what you are trying to do.
A good all around flexible program is Cam Bam

    Hi Mike
I'll be cut cutting out lettering from various substrate ( with the artwork coming from Illustrator as DXF ). The software that Im looking for primarily needs to just create the G Code...but Im thinking it would be good if its compatible with Mach 3.....or am I off the track here ?

Cam Bam would be worth taking a look at.
Not sure how much it is. You can use it for free for 40 fully functional sessions .
Cam Bam has post processers for Mach.
However some tweaking will probably need to be done to the post processor.
Cam Bam Should fulfill your needs very well.

Most any of the cam software out there will be compatible with Mach.
