    My new project

    Hi All.
I want to share my new design:

as you can see, the axis is driven by belt (green thing ). what you think about that system ? will it work ? What good, or bad I should know about belt drive systems ? cause I'm new to belts (I think that belts is quite cheap system, and good too (no backslash, fast, acurate)

    Any ideas welcome

    p.s. sorry for my English.

I like the idea of the rails and carriages under the extrusion. I'm undecided about the belts having no backlash though. The belts will need to be adjustable on one end to set the tension on the belt. It will be interesting to see how it all turns out for you.

I'm with CarveOne on this one. Using rack & pinion is not expensive and proven.

I wonder if anyone has thought of putting the rack on top of the CRS (where your belt runs).

    Your photo renderings are impressive!
