Exclamation Wantai Drivers & Mach3 setup

    Hi all,

I need some help with configuring my drivers for Mach3.
    This is what I use:

    Wantai DB25 1205 Breakout Board
    4x nema23 4,2A stepper motor
    4 x DQ542MA Wantai drivers

I'm using the Mach3 Demo version.

I connected everything like Wantai motors told me.
    Steppers are working.

But they don't run smooth and make a lot of noise.

    What I configured:

I configured the drivers for 2000 micro step resolution.
And I configured Mach3 for 2000 steps (within the motor tuning and setup screen)

I know allot of people from here have used motors from Wantai.
So maybe someone knows the right configuration for Mach3.

How did you fix this? I have the same issue. Device driver in Windows7 is showing "! Unknown Device".

    Oracle911,

Do you have 32 or 64 bit Windows 7?

Windows 7 64 bit will not support Mach 3.

See attached image for information on how to identify your operation system.

    Jeff,
    Yep, I'm running 32 bit win7.
I rebooted and everything is working ok!

    Thank you,
    Jeff I.

    Jeff,

    That was a simple solution!

Most drivers require a reboot. I should have suggested a reboot.
