    stepper motor speed

    I am trying to determin what rapid rate my mill table will run if driven from a typical size 23 double stack motor rated current/phase 2.5A ( four phase windings) 200 steps/rev (ignoring micro stepping) driving a 20tpi leadscrew.

    I can find no speed information data or curves published for speed v voltage or similar. So what would a typical max speed be for the motor? 500 rpm or more?

    It is completely dependant on the voltage you're using and how much friction is on your slide. I think you will get 15-100ipm.
