    Simultaneous 4 axis

I'm trying to get started on 4 axis machining but there isn't much documentation, the solidcam guides jump from 4 axis indexial to 5 axis. I want to machine a worm gear like the one in this grabcad assembly https://grabcad.com/library/worm-gea...ion-assembly-1, but I'm not sure how to deal with the teeth. Because they're angled I don't think a wrap would work but I'm struggling to get the 5 axis module to do what I want. Any advice on which toolpath to use and what I should set as my drive surface and edge curve would be appreciated.

    Re: Simultaneous 4 axis

It is not very hard to do so if you use solidcam, but it still need skills to make a prefect toolpath if you are using 4-axis machine!
