    Smile where to buy gears for rotary table build??

    Hi all,

    I posting this here because I have mostly HF equiptment,

    anyway I want to build a rotary table but dont have the expertise to make the gears necessary can I buy them some where??? Thanks in advance

    I'm doing the same thing, and wormgears are a hard thing to find, unless you want to go with Boston Gears. They are pricey.
    There are some articles on gear hobbing out there. I forget where, though.
    Some of the telescope sites have wormgear info on them.
    I'm getting some 52100 to make mine. going to be about a 6" one.
    My 140 lb Moore rotary is a bit much for me too deal with.
    There were some gear sets on eBay that would work for a small table, but might be too fragile.

    Go to Stock Drive at www.sdp-si.com, they have the best prices for cheap. You can get everything from Pulley's to Gear's, Couplers to Motors.
