I was just wondering if any one has made the CNCZone Logo into a 3D Gcode, that they can upload for everyone?
This would be cool if we could cut a logo or sign and put it on out CNC Routers, What ya think?
Thanks, Joe

HERE IS THE 3D FILE G-CODE (CNCZone   ) ENJOY IT
did anyone else get this to work? my router just cuts in a real tiny area, when i look at the code the x and y is close to each other.
thanks, joe
I looked at the code, it should be about 7" long.
I'd guess it will take a looong time to run. You might be stopping it too soon.

Why does it always move an axis twice in a row?
G1X0.0060F70.0
X6.9990
Y0.0052
Y0.0135
X6.9941
X0.0010
Y0.0176
Y0.0260
The file size would almost be halfed if it didn't do that. Sorry, but I have just never seen that before.
It's roughing at a 45° angle. In your example above, the router is just moving over for the next pass. It has to be that way.

I would love to see this machined out in alum, if anyone does it before me plaese post a picture of it.
KellyCam chokes on the files. What is a good free viewer?
That is correct Ger21 is roughing a 45 angle
I will fix the code to make small size (cutting along axis Y )
This is going to take some serious machining time, I started on it for something fun, but gave up on the idea because I saw the machining times were going to be very long.
Here is the file in .XFA and .IGS if anyone can use them.
Ger,
Why would it not do the roughing parallel to the X or Y planes? Is there a benefit to going diagonal? Thanks.

Great job Ken that's what I was looking for.Originally Posted by Ken_Shea

I'm serious, if you try this, please post some pics.

This site had some really cool stuff in the past, but it's currently under construction. www.iceculture.com Here's a sample of their work.

I was looking for something more inline with an engrave, kinda like this.Originally Posted by LVJ
The only constant is 'change'. Check out the new logo. I like it better.
Hey LVJ, do you have the model available? (Sorry Ken, yours does not play nice with TurboCAD )
