Hey, just replaced a lead screw and i'm trying to figure out what my steps per mm need to be.
motors are set to 200 steps per rev. my driver board is set to 1/8steps.
lead screw is acme 1/2-10
i always have trouble figuring this out.

Well I haven't done this for awhile but lets give it a shot..
200 steps x 8 equals 1600 steps per revolution.
1 rev will take you .1 inch
to go 10 inches you want 10x1600 or 16000 steps.
10 inches =254 mm
254mm = 16000 steps
mm = 16000/254
mm = 62.992126

254mm = 160,000 steps.
