Bridgeport TC1 & TC3 "Z" Axis Hunting?
Hello, maybe someone can help me out with this one. I own three vertical machining centers. A Bridgeport TC-1 & TC3 Machine. And One Bridgeport 3020 XV Machine. All three with the Yaskawa Drives in them. All three w/ 8K Spindles also. What I am noticing during a light pocketing routine, I'm noticing a very light fluctuation, with the "Z" axis, at the bottom of a pocket floor. I ususally run six parts at a time G54-G59. Sometimes not all six parts get this Floating I guess would be the better term to use, but some come out clean and Steady, while the others don't. I had the Drives Checked Out, with a Computer Plugged into them, and they appeared to be steady. The Pulleys up at the Top, were all very tight and Secure. The Z Axis Drive Belt was tight, where it's supposed to be. It's almost as if though there's some sort of noise, coming through the cables or the entire System maybe, or could it be a Bad Z Axis Motor Encoder Issue Maybe? Any Ideas? Only TC's are Doing This?
