    what are better dovetail ways or boxed ways?

    Im looking at buying a milling machine for my garage shop and im wondering what everyone thinks about dovetail ways vs boxed ways?

    Dovetail ways are cheaper. Box ways are better and are used on most CNC machines. Linear guide ways are being used as well but for heavy duty, box ways are still preferred.
    For the home shop, I believe dove tail ways will be sufficient.
