Pricing on this CNC part... Needed ASAP

    This would be in Steel.

I dont care what type you think is best...We are a prototype house and just need one of these cut!

STL file attached in ZIP format.

Check out my site for info.

I am also looking at possibly doing this VIA DMLS depending on the costs for CNC, ultimately it is up to my customer!

Can't open the file, "not on trusted list"

I dont know what "trusted list" is. But do a google search or check D&B on GPI Prototype or GPI Anatomicals. We aren't a company that plays games. You don't want to quote it, it's your prerogative, but dont tell me I am not trusted lol. Mine as well tell everyone that sends files they arent trusted at that point there partner!

GPIprototype - lyfordln isn't telling you he doesn't trust you, he's quoting the error message that windows gives. I don't know what software you used to create the model, but by default Windows 7 (can't speak for other versions...) treats .stl files as 'certificate trust list' - I quote

List of predefined items that have been signed by a trusted entity; may consist of a list of filenames or a list of certificates; each item in the list has been approved by the signing entity.

Certificate trust lists (CTLs) are used by Microsoft IIS to store trusted websites and other addresses that require a secure connection.
I was able to open your model in solidworks 2010, but I had to force it - in windows RIGHT-click on the file, choose 'open with', and then you will probably have to browse the hard drive for the executable file of your chosen CAD package. C:/Program Files/SolidWorks Corp/SolidWorks/SldWorks.exe in my case.

Just extract the files and it will work, but that means you will have to save it to your HD.

You found someone already to do this? I guess I was late to finding this job being that it wasn't in the normal jobs location if it alreadys has been awarded.

Yeah its been almost a month. I didnt know of any other spots to request for a quote?

I will give the site another try when looking at sourcing CNC parts. We use the DMLS machine and certain projects are just better to be CNC. If you run these systems and would like to be considered as a vendor please send me your info!
