If you are talking about the club's Flying Tiger logo, it says "Trade Mark". They probably wouldn't want it cloned.

It is a .gif image format that should be importable into any modern CAD program.

my cad/cam will impert the file ,but i want it clearer in vector format, So that when i engrave it it dosnt just look like lines.

    does that make sence?

    Just checking.

You might want to take a look at Inkscape and see if it will do what you want. It's free, and available for Windows, Mac, and Linux. Web search "image to vector converters" and see what you can find also.

Start by contacting your web site designer. Ask for the original logo file, not the web file. Not only will you have a much better quality file to work with, but it just may be a vector file.

I would be amazed if the original of that is a vector file. It looks scanned.

The web image is too small to be useful for this - if you can get a higher resolution image I'd be happy to help you out.

Now that, is an image that can easily converted into a dxf. Let me fiddle with it later tonight.

    so tyskkvinna,

were you able to fix it up for me??

I love your tag line. When I was an Electronics Technician in the Coast Guard I had a $100,000 radar system designed to protect a 15 cent fuse. Weird what electrical engineers will come up with.

If you're still havin problems with the conversion, post this on the "share your art files" thread in this forum. There's a few guys there that are extremely good at this type of thing. Switcher is the best I've seen yet.

    hope that helps ya,
    Mike

I just assumed that you wanted it in a 2.5D surface file so that you get a near 3D look to it. I don't have anything here to do that with, or the knowledge.

If you just want lines for a V carving I can trace it in CAD for you easily enough. Then export it in a .dxf file format.

I was in the USAF as an ET also. Different branch, same tax dollars being tossed overboard.

That certainly looks a whole heap better than what I would have cobbled together.
