    BluePrint Reading

This is probably not the best place to place this topic, however you all have been great to me in answering my questions so here goes.

I was given a blueprint to draw into Mastercam, that is no problem. The blueprint I received was chicken scratch and I had to keep on asking questions to the person who gave it to me to give me the missing details. He told me that this is the way he was taught in school.

My question is when you are taught blueprint reading, what are the essentials that one should have upon completion ?

Tooling U has an online course for learning blueprint reading as well as there are many great books you can buy through MSC ast a reasonable price that should give you a good hold on what is needed to know about reading blueprints. there is just too much on the topic to cover in a post.

Blueprint reading is easy......provided (proper) blueprint creation is learned first by the one making them!
