    CIMCO V.S. MASTERCAM OR LEGACY EDITOR

    Hi guys,

    I am trying to stream my program direct from MCX sithout using my "TELIX" communications software but so far, the only one that works is 'CIMCO" can anyone tell me if I am loosing any functionality by not using the "MASTERCAM" editor? any clues are greatly appreciated

    I have been using the Cimco editor for many years.
    The communications part is a "plain vanilla" ASCII terminal.
    It works quite well for what you are trying to do.
    Since it is sending the posted G-code, it has no "functionality".
    It sends what Mcam posts, plain and simple.
    ObrienDave. MasterCam since V6. Gcode since 1983.

    thanks for that,
    I am hearing more of the same that CIMCO is the way to go
