Hi All,
I hope that what I am about to ask is not totally stupid, but here is what I am trying to do:
I have a part, which I want to cut say 8 times. This part will be made out of the same sheet of material (1/8 aluminum). Now, it is simply a 2D cut, and I have also created a .dwg file, that basically has the parts laid out on the sheet, of 12x24 material (eight in total).
What I want to do, is to create a profile cut, to say cut the first part, then translate the SAME tool path to a point on the second part (as an origin) to cut that part, then on to the third etc.....
In other words, I want to keep cutting the same countours, but only after I re-position (translate) for the other origin position of the piece, with out having to re-create or choose the geometry over again (since it is the same tool-path, just in a different spot).
Any easy way to achieve this with WCS and off set numbers in Mastercam X3?
Have tried all sorts of combinations, but I keep failing at doing this...and I am sure I am overlooking something simple....
thank you in advance for any suggestions....
